Prior to the company’s IPO in late 2019, Tyro took on a fresh new look and identity, to reflect its expansion beyond payments into banking and lending products. The visual identity illustrates how Tyro helps to ignite businesses, and highlights the spark of innovation that’s at the heart of everything the company offers.

A side-project that I worked on during Covid lockdowns, Arseways is a novelty deck of playing cards – each card has a unique, eccentric and often offensive Irish proverb.

As business owners began to re-open their doors after the COVID-19 lockdowns, Tyro needed an advertising campaign that struck an optimistic tone, while positioning the payments company as the best partner to navigate these uncertain times.

Tyro launched the ‘Tyro Go’ portable card reader to expand into a new market – offering payments products to business owners on the move. 

To raise the profile of the payments company around the time of their IPO, Tyro needed an energetic and compelling brand campaign that emphasised the company’s credentials as an innovative tech disruptor. It was time to Get Cracking.
